Arthritis is not just an old person's disease. Before I had it, I was completely healthy and had never been to a hospital before as a patient. Now every 3 months I go for a checkup. I have been way more in the past two years than in 10 years of my life. Pretty weird, hey?
Arthritis is like a stealth disease that will strike a number of kids out of the blue. It can be very painful but I am very lucky because if this happened about 10 years ago I might have been in a wheelchair.
I speak on behalf of all the kids who have suffered or are suffering that we appreciate any donation, big or small. Who knows the money you have donated might help researchers find a cure so no kid will have to go through it again.

- Rebecca was diagnosed with arthritis in her right knee in September 2005. Within six weeks, it attacked her ankles, both knees, hips and neck. She went into remission the following year. |
